Introducing Notitia: Enhancing Financial Due Diligence

When I worked in finance, I used to spend hours upon hours sifting through piles of documents, trying to locate that one piece of valuable information I needed, out of hundreds of pages. This is a pretty common occurrence in the industry across many different types of teams. Deal teams often receive hundreds of documents, which they then manually sort through in order to find the information they need and identify potential issues. Now, this wouldn’t necessarily be a problem, if they had all the time in the world. However, that is rarely the case as time is often in short supply. As a result, high volumes of documents can translate into slower deal executions, higher risks of missing data points, and increased costs for additional resources. The industry lacks an effective tool to make this process more efficient.

This is where Notitia comes in.

One day, while walking to get lunch, an idea struck me. I had just spent hours flipping through various documents to find these capex figures for a valuation analysis. What if there was this platform where I could type “capex” into a search bar and easily find relevant results, getting me to my answer orders of magnitude faster than manually opening files and searching via CTRL+F. What if this platform allowed you to seamlessly import all your deal documents and automatically provide the key information pieces you need for your analysis or presentation.

My co-founder and I went on to build exactly that: a solution that makes life a lot easier for anyone that needs to locate any kind of information rapidly and effectively from hundreds of pages. Our cloud-based platform is secure and very easy to use, with no installation needed or learning curve. Just sign in, upload or sync your documents, and search. Notitia displays files in a way that makes it effortless to navigate through them and offers a smart search engine that will only return the most relevant results. We’ve tailored our solution specifically for professionals that perform financial due diligence, including private equity, investment banking, transaction service providers, valuations, real estate or infrastructure investments, and corporate development. We’ve built it so it can be used seamlessly within each team member’s workflow with minimal friction and disruption.

We’re currently working on pilot programs with potential customers and so far, we’ve seen great interest from early adopters that span various types of teams.
